The American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) is a professional, scientific and medical society established to bring together clinical and experimental scientists who are involved in the study of bone and mineral metabolism.

The Center for Skeletal Research will further the discovery of the causes and therapies for skeletal diseases through the provision of core facilities and other programs designed to make the work of a broad group of investigators more efficient, interdisciplinary, innovative, and interactive. By making this research more effective, advances in understanding and therapy of osteoporosis and other bone disease will occur more quickly.

Founded in 1916, the Endocrine Society is the world’s oldest, largest, and most active organization devoted to research on hormones and the clinical practice of endocrinology. The Society works to foster a greater understanding of endocrinology among the general public and practitioners of complementary medical disciplines, and to promote the interests of all endocrinologists at the international and national scientific research and health policy levels of government.

Dr. Mannstadt is an endocrinologist at the Endocrine Associates at the MGH. To book an appointment with Dr. Mannstadt for problems related to mineral metabolism or bone, call (617)726-8720.
